Introducing The Companion - a collaboration between us and Jac Barber.

---The Story.

We first met Mitch of Jac Barber at Menske in August, the week after our launch. I (Ben) was stoked to meet the man behind the handmade wallets we'd seen floating around, and we hit it off straight away.

By the end of the weekend we were already talking about a co-lab wallet around our bottle opener, The Key. And so the project concept was born.

The following weeks had Mitch dreaming up designs for the wallet, and after a couple of meetings, and the odd beer.. Mitch confirmed he had finalised his design. Production began.

A week later we caught up for dinner, and Mitch stated he had a 'surprise' design feature. We love surprises, and we could tell Mitch was excited about it. The cheeky grimace on his face gave it away. We couldn't wait!

Later that week we got the news that Mitch had finished the first run of The Companion!! So we did what anyone would do - scheduled in a brunch that weekend. Over coffee, eggs and a crazy amount of meat at two:bob in Clifton Hill, I got my own tan wallet to run in, and finally got to see the surprise design feature - the cut out for our logo on The Key - we loved everything about The Companion!!

That weekend then saw us travel down to the Bellarine Peninsula for a night away with a group of friends. Naturally, my excitement had me showing off The Companion to all my friends as soon as we sat down. Immediately two orders were placed with one paying on the spot. Off to a good start.

Prior to launching on ours and Jac Barber's websites last Thursday, we sold out of the tan, with only 4 remaining of the indigo. Mitch is in the process of producing more tan as this is being written.

This handmade wallet purpose built to house our bottle opener The Key can be purchased from either Jac Barber's website or here at craftdglass.com

And, if you want The Companion in tan, please email us at hello@craftdglass.com and we will reserve one for you.

We are excited to continue to work with Jac Barber, and have already started thinking about our next co-lab.

Cheers from Ben and Mitch
